AUSTIN, Texas — Update: Police have identified the victims in this deadly shooting. The original story continues below.
Two people died and another person was injured in a late-night shooting in southeast Austin Wednesday.
The Austin Police Department (APD) said officers received calls just before 11:30 p.m. about multiple gunshots on the 2300 block of South Pleasant Valley Road.
When officers arrived on scene, they found three people injured near the Trio Apartments.
One of the victims died on location and another died after being transported to a nearby hospital. The third victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victims who died have been identified as a 30-year-old man and a 39-year-old man. Their names have not been released as of Friday afternoon.
This incident is currently being investigated as a homicide. A suspect has not yet been located.
