CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas — Residents in Caldwell County are assessing the damage left behind after a confirmed tornado Thursday morning.
The tornado was spotted near Rolling Ridge Road and Schuelke, which is the northern part of the county. Some structure damage to an old schoolhouse was reported by officials with Caldwell County's Office of Emergency Management.
Property owners said the insulation and roof were taken off and that it looked like cotton candy was flying through their backyard, which they believed was caused by the tornado.
