Fiona has intensified into a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 115 mph as of Sept. 20. It is currently located just north of the Dominican Republic and is moving north-northwest at 10 mph.
Heavy rainfall is expected to continue across portions of Puerto Rico, which are still experiencing flooding from the storm's arrival a couple of days ago. Tropical storm conditions are expected over southeastern portions of the Bahamas early Tuesday.
Fiona is expected to eventually shift north-northeast as it moves through the Atlantic. While landfall should not occur along the east coast of the U.S., rough surf conditions are expected.
