Much colder air is moving in first thing Monday morning thanks to our next cold front.
Ahead of the cold front, expect cloudy skies and patchy areas of dense fog for Sunday night. The front will clear the area by 10 a.m. Monday.
An isolated shower is possible Monday morning, but mainly for areas east of Interstate Highway 35. Afternoon temperatures on Monday will be in the 50s with a clearing sky. A strong north wind at 10 to 20 miles per hour will make it feel even colder.
Clear skies will make for a cold Monday night. Low temperatures by Tuesday morning will be in the 30s, including a freeze in the Hill Country. Wind chills Tuesday morning will be in the 20s.
Highs will be in the low 50s on Tuesday with a breezy north wind. An area-wide freeze is likely Tuesday night with most areas at or below freezing.
Temperatures will warm a bit Thursday and Friday ahead of a Pacific cold front that arrives Friday afternoon with isolated showers.
